RWE Renewables is proud to be a strategic partner of Wind Energy Ireland’s National Exhibition 2025 for the third year running, reaffirming the company’s key role in Ireland’s renewable energy sector.

This year’s exhibition highlights the central role of renewable energy and a strong supply chain in achieving Ireland’s national climate and energy goals. It provides a vital platform for collaboration between policymakers, developers, and the supply chain - supporting Wind Energy Ireland’s mission to deliver a secure, affordable, and sustainable energy future.

Peter Lefroy, Country Chair of RWE Renewables Ireland: "RWE is delighted to once again support Wind Energy Ireland’s National Exhibition 2025, which reflects our shared ambition to help deliver a clean, secure, and inclusive energy system for Ireland. The event offers a valuable opportunity to engage directly with suppliers, contractors, and service partners across the Irish energy sector as we work together to realise the country’s renewable potential."

RWE is one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, combining global expertise with trusted local delivery. The company’s Irish portfolio includes offshore and onshore wind and battery storage project and demonstrates its position as a key renewable energy market.

RWE’s onshore and offshore development teams will be available throughout the event to discuss the company’s growing portfolio of Irish projects, including the flagship Dublin Array Offshore Wind Farm. Dublin Array planning application has been with An Coimisiún Pleanála since February 2025. The project has already been awarded a Maritime Area of Consent (MAC) in 2022 and a ORESS contract with the Irish government in 2023.

RWE Renewables Ireland has a diverse onshore portfolio with several positive developments in recent months including the commencement of construction at the 60MW Ardagh Battery Project in Co Meath. It recently submitted a planning application for the 66MW Shancloon Wind Farm in Co Galway and successfully bid for RESS5 for the 81.6MW Lyrenacarriga Wind Farm on the Cork/Waterford Border.

Beyond project development, RWE is committed to helping strengthen Ireland’s renewable supply chain and delivering socio-economic benefits, including local job creation, skills development, and regional investment. At the 2025 Wind Energy Ireland National Exhibition, Peter Lefroy will share an Irish market update including insights on RWE’s offshore wind portfolio, while Jordan O’Neill and Helen K. Thomas will participate in panel discussions on advancing supply chain collaboration and local opportunities.

RWE also takes the opportunity to welcome the Government’s recent announcement of enhanced industry collaboration through the establishment of an Offshore Wind Energy Clearing House initiative announced by An Taoiseach Micheál Martin, which aims to streamline processes, increase collaboration and accelerate the delivery of offshore wind projects.

Peter added: "Ireland is an important market for RWE, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with government, industry, and communities to deliver renewable energy at scale. Together, we can build an energy system that delivers for people, the economy, and the environment."
